What is MoxieJam?
MoxieJam is the industry’s first online marketplace for glamour photos and videos. MoxieJam makes it easy for models and photographers to sell their work at an affordable price directly to the public without any hassle. MoxieJam has created a state-of-the-art e-commerce platform which allows models and photographers to concentrate on what they do best – make great photos and videos!

How does the site work for photographers and models?
MoxieJam invites all glamour models (both professional and amateur), photographers and producers to sell their photos and videos via the MoxieJam website. Providers have the flexibility to select the price at which they want to sell each photoset or videoset. After the sets are reviewed by the MoxieJam team, they are published to the website and made available for sale to buyers. Providers can check the sales of their portfolio and their royalties on the site at any time.

How does the site work for buyers of digital photos and videos?
MoxieJam makes purchasing photosets and videosets simple and easy. Once Users register, they can select which sets they want to purchase, enter their credit card information and can then download the sets in zip file format. Previously purchased photosets and videosets are always able to be downloaded in the future within the Users My Account page.

There is no other website that caters to the glamour market, and none that allows the providers to sell directly to the public. MoxieJam has a simple, intuitive interface and a powerful administration area that is designed to be both easy to use and extremely functional.

ACCOUNT SET UP

Do I need separate accounts to buy and sell images?
Yes, if you want to both a provider and a buyer, you will need to create two accounts – a User account to make purchases and a Provider account to offer sets for sale.

What if I forget my password?
Don’t worry, this happens to the best of us! On the homepage, click on log-in, then lost your user name and password?. Enter the e-mail address you provided us when you signed up to MoxieJam. We will email you a link to reset your password.

PROFILE SET UP

What is my profile?
Your profile page is your main page on the MoxieJam website. It contains your main profile image, biography, stats, news items, comments and links to your photosets and videosets. It is accessible to the public via www.moxiejam.com/screenname where screenname is selectable by the Provider.

Are my news items compatible with RSS/XML/Newsreaders?
Absolutely! Users are able to “subscribe” to your news feed via any of the popular newsreaders so that they can easily keep in touch with the latest happenings in your life.

Can I take my profile offline?
Yes, if for any reason you need to take your profile offline, you can make your profile “invisible” thereby making your profile page and all set related pages inaccessible to the public. At any time, you can make your profile visible again with a click of the button. These functions are done in the Provider Administration area in the My Account page.

UPLOADING IMAGES

What are sets?
Sets are collections of photos and videos that the Provider packages together for sale on MoxieJam.com. A photoset might be 10 cell-phone pics by an amateur model, or it might be 100 photos taken by a professional photographer. A videoset similarly can be a 1 minute video clip taken on an inexpensive digital camera, or it can be a collection of professionally taken video clips that totals over 60 minutes. Sets must be comprised of photos or videos but not both.

What do I need in order to sell my sets?
You need the following in order to sell your sets:
- To be registered as a Provider
- Know the producer/copyright owner of the photos and/or videos
- Know the production date of the photos and/or videos
- Have copies of all model ID’s for each model that is in the photos/videos
- Have the content ready to upload
- Have the legal rights to offer the content for sale.
- If you have this information, you can go to the “Set Maintenance” section of the Provider Administration area to start loading your sets.

Do I need to be approved before I submit my first set?
The only approval that is necessary is the review of the Model ID’s to verify that all models were over the age of 18 at the time of production of the photos/videos. This review is done at the time the first set is submitted, so no pre-approvals are necessary. You can register, create your profile and load your sets.

What kinds of content can I upload?
We currently accept photos in .jpg format and videos in .mov (Quicktime), .wmv (Windows Media) or .mpg (MPEG) formats.

How do I upload my sets?
After you have created an account and set up your profile information, go to the Set Maintenance section and click on the ‘Add a set’ link to start uploading your sets.
- You can provide a set name, description and tags/keywords, although this is not required.
- You must specify the production date and producer of the set.
- You select the price for the set
- You select the Payee information (how you want the set royalties disbursed)
- Click ‘upload’ and that’s it!
- For photos, you can then select the set thumbnail and preview photos and for videos you can select the video preview.
- Once that is done, your set will be submitted for approval to the MoxieJam Staff.

Can I mail pictures and videos or send via FTP?
Currently we do not offer mail-in or FTP upload, but we would like to hear from you if this feature would be of benefit to you.

Do you review titles, descriptions and tags/keywords?
Yes – we do review titles, descriptions and tags/keywords for accuracy and relevance. We want to provide a good search experience for our community and we think that keeping titles and tags relevant is a good way to start.

How do I enter tags/keywords?
Please separate each keyword with a comma (for example: bikini, wet, fetish, school girl )

What previews/samples are allowed for my set?
For photosets, we allow the provider to select up to 4 photos within the set as previews so that the prospective buyer can see the size and quality of the photos within the set. For videosets, we allow providers to upload a 15 second preview of the set, or we can create a preview from the first 12 seconds of the clip. Both photoset and videoset previews are encoded into a short flash movie that is playable on the site as well as linked to from other sites such as MySpace and Facebook.

What is the set review process?
Once you have uploaded your set, it will be sent automatically to MoxieJam for review. We will try to keep to a same-day, no longer than 24-hour, turnaround on the review of sets.

What can I do to make sure my sets will be accepted?
We want to accept as many of your sets as we can, so please try to follow these basic guidelines:
- Make sure you have the information related to the producer and production date
- Make sure that all models depicted in the content are over the age of 18 and all have ID’s as proof
- Make sure that the photos and/or videos contain no unacceptable content (see below).
- Make sure that your images don’t contain personally identifying information like license plates, nametags, and IDs or phone numbers
- Keep your images free from copyrighted items, i.e. items that belong to someone else should not appear in the picture
- And finally, please do not submit content to which you do not hold the copyright.

What type of photo or video content is unacceptable?
- the Content must not contain any persons under the age of 18;
- the Content must be not pornographic or obscene (no sex acts!), nor does the content contain any material depicting or implying rape, forced sexual acts, bestiality, incest, coprophilia (also known as fecophilia or scat), death, use of controlled substances (implied, staged, simulated, artificial or cartoon/drawn/art);
- the Content must not defame any third party;
- the Content must not contain any illegal material or promote illegal activities;
- the Content must not contain material which denigrates or attacks any persons based on race, religion, national origin, or sexual orientation;

Will I know if and why my sets were declined?
You will be notified by e-mail and your set will appear in the “Rejected” list of sets within the Set Maintenance section of the Provider Administration area. The reason for the rejection will be included in both places.

How do I remove sets?
Sets can be made “Inactive” at any time by editing the set and clicking on the “Deactivate” button.

PRICING AND ROYALTIES

How do I price my set?
You can select a price for each set during the upload process. You can select any price you wish as long as it is over $1 and under $100. Please remember that the best way to make money is through volume, not a high price. We expect that most sets will be for sale in the $10 and under range.

Can I change the price of my set?
Yes, you can change the price of your set on set maintenance page. If any user had placed that set in their shopping cart prior to the price change, then the old price will remain for those users while their shopping carts are active, a maximum of 90 days.

How much will I make? What are the royalty rates?
Each Set is subject to a fixed Transaction Fee payable to MoxieJam, which covers credit card transaction fees charged by our payment processor. The default MoxieJam transaction fee is $.25. The Royalty Rate is the percentage of the Net Revenue (Sales Price less Transaction Fee) from the sale of a set that is due to the Provider. The default MoxieJam Royalty Rate is 50%. Royalties to the provider are determined by taking the Sales price less the Transaction Fee ("Net Revenue") multiplied by the Provider's Royalty Rate. For example, if the Sales Price of a set is $6.25, the Transaction Fee is $.25 and the Provider's Royalty Rate is 50%, then the Royalty due to the Provider is calculated as follows: $6.25 - $.25 = $6.00 multiplied by 50%, resulting in a Provider Royalty of $3.00.

How will I be paid?
MoxieJam makes monthly payments to Providers. Providers will be paid if they meet two criteria – 1) their tax forms have been submitted to MoxieJam and have been approved, and 2) the Providers outstanding balance exceeds MoxieJam’s minimum payment threshold of $50. Checks will be cut and mailed as per the individual provider’s instructions on their Personal Info page within the My Account section of the Provider Administration area.

When will I be paid?
Checks will be sent within 30 days of the end of the previous month. For example, outstanding balances at the end of June will be paid by the end of July.

Will you withhold taxes?
MoxieJam will not be withholding taxes. You are responsible for reporting your earnings to the appropriate tax authority depending on your location.

REPORTING

Will I know if one of my sets has been sold?
Yes, MoxieJam is providing extensive transaction reporting features within the Provider Administration area. Transactions are reported real-time to the Provider.

Can I check the details of my sales transactions?
When viewing the recent transactions from the Provider’s Main Account page, you can click on the transaction number to get very detailed information on the sale. You can also click on Transactions or Reports to get more detailed information. The following data items are collected for each sale – Date, Time, Buyer, Set ID#, Price, Transaction Fee, Provider Royalty Rate, Model ID#’s, Payee ID #’s, Net Revenue.

Can I see historical reports of my sales?
Yes, the Reports sections can give you detailed historical information as well as convenient methods to search and sort your reporting results, including receiving CSV files for those that want to use spreadsheets to analyze their sales data.

LICENSES

What can a User do with the sets that are sold?
Users are given a license to download and view the sets. They are not given any ownership of the sets, nor are they allowed to re-sell or re-publish the sets in any manner. If you feel that a User has broken the agreed-upon Terms of Service Agreement, please view our copyright page for instructions on submitting a copyright infringement claim.

MARKETING

How do I market my sets?
MoxieJam subscribes to the web 2.0 phenomenon known as “viral marketing”, such as being used by sites such as YouTube, Slide, etc. Viral marketing takes advantage of users being able to share their favorite photosets and videosets on sites such as MySpace and Facebook, as well as modeling-specific sites such as OneModelPlace, ModelMayhem and AllModelZone. MoxieJam encourages each Provider to use the provider-specific banners and flash promo links to post them on their MySpace page, personal website page or any other social networking site.

How will MoxieJam market my sets?
MoxieJam will advertise on all the major modeling & photography forums, as well as social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook. MoxieJam will also utilize promotional pictures from the uploaded sets in banners, flash video promos, wallpapers and cell phone wallpapers in order to drive traffic to MoxieJam.

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENTS

What is copyright infringement?
Copyright infringement is the unauthorized use of material that is covered by a copyright law.  Copyright law protects many created works such as paintings, sculpture, photographs, music, radio and TV broadcasts, and many industrial designs (most new cars, toys and electronics are protected industrial designs).

Are there images I can’t submit?
We would like to take all of your images, but unfortunately there are some kinds of images we cannot accept:
- Images, illustrations, or flash that you didn’t take or create yourself
- Images, illustrations, or flash containing objectionable content: graphic sexuality or offensive material
- Images containing personally identifying information (please remove these in an image-editing program before submitting)
- License plates
- Nametags or ID tags
- Names or phone numbers (uniforms, pet tags)
